Assistant Solicitor in Herefordshire and Dorset (latterly
as a partner).
Jan.1988 - Mar.2006 Principal, James Scott, Tetbury, Glos.
– a general practice that grew from a sole practitioner
to a two-partner, five-solicitor firm.
Following the sale of his practice in March 2006, James Scott
worked as a Consultant for his old firm until moving to Crete
in 2007.

Principal
activities
James Scott is essentially a litigation lawyer who has acquired,
over the years, a wide-ranging experience of many aspects of
English law.
This includes dealing with private and commercial clients with
particular reference to proceedings in the County Court, High
Court and Court of Appeal, Magistrates' Courts and tribunals
of all sorts including VOSA Public Inquiries and the Jockey
Club: he appears as an advocate in the County Court, Magistrates
Court, before the tribunals and at Public Inquiries.
James Scott has experience, inter alia, of environmental/pollution
matters, road traffic and transport-related issues, boundary,
building & contractual disputes including carriage of goods
and CMR contracts, cases involving horses and horse transport
and personal injury and negligence claims.
He has administered Trusts and Estates, and has handled contested
probate and Inheritance Act actions. His experience includes
residential and commercial conveyancing, as well as company
formations and sales.
